No personal experience here.

According to this
http://www.kzrider.com/forum/2-engine/52642-kz-250-oil-filter-where-is-it (http://www.kzrider.com/forum/2-engine/52642-kz-250-oil-filter-where-is-it)

"It's inside the engine, you get to it by removing the right side engine cover."

Well protected but not too convenient.

The C14 is the first bike I've owned, out of many, that has a spin on filter.  Every other one required me to remove some cover on the engine.  The filter itself had no case.  A spin on filter is much nicer.

Got the oil changed last night. Actually, it was not too bad ! Three hex nut that come off without any complain and new filter went on smooth. Was much better than the first time I had to undo my C14 filter. It was gorillaed in there tight and none of the wrench I had fit - had to go out and buy one of those cloth wrap type of wrench.
