will the 15 seat fit a 01 Connie? Like how it looks more comfier.
-
I'm thinking NO. Two very different bikes, two very different seats.
-
I'm going to second that...
-
Almost anything can be done with the proper application of money and/or skills... With that being said I'm going to go out and say NFW....

Did they change the frame, tank or side panels? Maybe compare the parts fisches to see if any of the critical hardware is different like the front mounting point and the rear latching mechanism to start with.

They changed the frame, tank and side panels.
The C10 seat slides into an attachment point at the front and locks in the back.
The C14 seat attaches in the middle and locks at the back.
Two very different styles of seats and bikes.

Tell you what, I'll take some pictures of a seat I have (C14 - spare seat) and post them here. Give me a few minutes to get that done... Ok, might be more than a few, battery is dead on the phone. :yikes:
The front of the seat is on the left. Seat is about 31 inches long, 15 inches wide (widest point). About 9 inches at the narrow bits front and rear. I just realized that a picture of the bike sans seat might be beneficial as well. Working on that. I have my custom seat off in prep for an ECU update so I'll take a pic of that and upload it as well.
There you have it. Have no memories of how my C10 seat fit. Too far in the past but hopefully the pictures will help your decision on what to do.

Hmmm, I hope you didn't send Steve the relay box instead of the ECU...probably not, but you can see why I might think that from the photo. I still haven't sent mine to Steve as Holiday stuff has filled my days, but when I sent mine to Guhl I think I just flipped the relay box out of the way. Still pretty darn nice of you to take time from your day to get those photos...I do believe you've earned a beverage. :chugbeer:

 ;) If so, Steve didn't mention anything about it... :rotflmao:

Oops, sorry, i thought the op was referring to c10.
-
So did I.
-
He is. He wants to know if a C14 seat will fit a C10. We're thinking not.

So how much HP increase does flashing the Relay Box get ya?
Gonna get my Mercury flashed and gain 45 to 50 HP..... :banana

More than on the C10, my friend.

Thanks for the info just new to the connie and don't know anyone around here that has one.

Opinions vary greatly on what constitutes a comfy seat... Myself besides the stocker I tried 4 aftermarket seats before finding my happy bumm on a Corbin Gunfighter... Guy I sold my bike to said that out of many seats he too has tried including a Russel that this seat is is favorite....
-
I have a Corbin Gunfighter, which I just sent off to Corbin to get re-foamed. I purchased a Rick Mayer unit, haven't had a chance to try it due to all the snow on the ground. The Mayer does fit me better in the sense that it cradles my backside more. The Mayer at least provides more support right there, while the Corbin has a big area behind me till you get to back edge of my portion of the seat..

Here is a Corbin Dual Canyon and a Russell; I called the Russell the Road Sofa.... as for the Corbin Dual Canyon I had to try it twice as while I liked that the main saddle area is huge and that you could move around a lot, that was also the problem....
