I have the "Across Texas" thing twice, once on the high side and the other across the middle.
And it was the longest, and most boring runs I cal recall.
That is one big State. :P
Ride safe all,

I did this ride a while back leaving from north Texas. What is amazing is the huge variations in topography across the state. From low hills, to desert, to mountains. Great ridings and glad you enjoyed!

Last summer I did 7,600 miles in Colorado and never left the western half of the state. But it took me 3 months to do it. Come to think of it, I was never more than about 250 miles from home.

That is one big state.
875 miles (+/-) from Brownsville up through the Panhandle.
835 miles (+/-) from El Paso to Port Arthur. A few mile shorter from El Paso to Texarkana.
And for reference, Dallas to Texarkana (upper NE corner of the state) is larger than the state of Connecticut.
