Title: Ride Report: The Great Big Sur Loop
Post by: pradsliff on February 26, 2013, 07:41:22 PM
Another great example of how great forums like these are for getting riders together. I met a local rider who is a COG member when he reached out on the forum a few weeks ago and I replied. We scheduled a ride last weekend and here is the blog post that chronicles our amazing trip from Ft. Hunter Liggett to Big Sur: http://wp.me/p1Ircv-j4 (http://wp.me/p1Ircv-j4)

I left California in the late 80's because it had just gotten too nuts (hard to imagine what it is like now). But, boy I sure do miss the ride from Capitola down to Big Sur. My brother was stationed at Fort Hungry Lizard at the time so we got to ride some of the off limits roads on the base. I think the one road in my 40+ years of riding that I never opened it up on was through Big Sur. I just could not stand to let that ride go by any faster than necessary.
