Sat. camping fee on my dime, if you choose to make it an overnight. Showers on site, lodge has pretty decent food. Look for the tents, camp there. May be a visual surprise on arrival. Camp there anyway.

Thought about I-55 to Cairo -> Paducah -> Wendell Ford, depends on weather channel at my motel (Columbia).

Looks like chance of 'wet' no matter my route Tomorrow & Fri.

If you are going to Paducah I'd recommend 64 to 57 at Mt Vernon. 57 to 24 to Paducah. You'll lose time cross country from 55 to Paducah.

S. at St. L on 55 is my alternate to avoid weather. And I haven't been on that road for a spell. And I can stop at Metropolis too!    If the weather is crap along 64 that is

Rick, it was good to meet you Saturday. Nice to know the wizard behind the curtain. I thought you'd be taller. Good weather for an outdoor show. The girls were awesome, especially the twins. I should have brought my camera. Have to do it again soon.

No doubt, good time What twins? I counted three.

Weather on my return  is so-so. Currently in Colby, KS; had to motel @ 11:30 due to the  cold, fingers numb. Back at the fort noon tomorrow.
