  • Road? What road?!?
On another forum, we had a couple of articles linked recently r.e. some 'Ride of the Century' thing that was disrupting traffic.

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/article_2b10b7d4-e16f-11e0-bd73-0019bb30f31a.html

While I find the '20 bikes wide a half mile deep' quote by the eyewitness in this article difficult to accept (sounds like a fish story), there are other articles as well.

http://www.ksdk.com/rss/article/277220/3/Drivers-complain-about-swarm-of-bikers

Also, apparently St. Louis has a biker gang problem?

Just figured I'd ask here, as I'm sure we have a few Connie riders in the St. Louis area that can enlighten us, and explain more accurately what the situation is.

Short of any squid like behaviour, which I denounce loudly BTW, the cagers now know how we feel.

It sounds like a bicyclists "Critical Mass." if anything to me...  Also sounds like they blew the story up bigger than it should be.

If you know anything about those two so called news outletsthey are in a partnership and are both sensationalistic and very biased to the Left. Stltoday.com is actually the St. Louis Post-Disgrace (dispatch), the only major paper in town. They couldn't get a story right if they wrote it. The paper is on its death bed. As for ksdk.com their motto is "Where the news comes first". First is the key word. Getting it right is of no importance. I caught them in a blatant lie once and they refused to retract the statement and removed my comment correcting them from their website.
As for the hooligans there is a group here called the Streetfighterz who say they don't stunt on the street but brag about filming members doing just that and say if you don't like it they will run you off the streets. Regarding this event it took place 2 miles from here and neither I or anyone I know heard a thing about it. Sounds like much ado about nothing.

What in the world does this guy have zip tied to his bars? And what's that extra lever on the left side?

ROC 2011 CLOSE CALL

appears to be a cable for a back brake zip tied.

appears to be a back break lever on the left for wheelie control.

I don't think you would do that if you really thought about it. It sounds good but in practice methinks you would be staying at the Crossbar Hilton.

Was one of those mine? I was pretty certain that mine was posted. I thought mine was pretty civil. I wasn't directing it at anyone from this board, I just said that if they tried to run me off they road they will get run over by my truck and if they attacked me the would get shot with my 9mm. Whats not civil about that?

Or they took a hydraulic clutch revisor and filled it with brake fluid.  Which means it could have been from a beloved Connie...   :)
