Never had any problems with mine.  I like it for what it is and nothing more.

After riding bikes without any storage for 38 years I love the little glove box on my 09.
I keep a flashlight, ezpass, spare fob batteries, cell phone, pack of smokes, SAE to cig lighter adapter, and a spare set of fob bats in there.
Maybe y'all don't know how to pack?  :-X

+3.  You can always use a little more fuel (especially since I ran out 4 block from the station I was headed to the other night :-X ).

Wow! 4 blocks is a long push with this heavy beast!!

I actually considered pushing it for a moment, but there was no shoulder, and cars were constantly whizzing by.  Instead, I called a buddy who lived about 20 blocks from where I was, and he had a can with some gas and a funnel.  I suppose that's cheating, but oh well.  I was on my way home from work, and didn't feel like expending the effort.

I can say to the masses, when it runs out, it dies, then after restarting will run for another couple of blocks, and then she's done.  Consider that first cough your only warning before parking it.

Never have understood the point of the tank-mount glove box. I just assumed Kawie was hiding some design flaw with the thing. Isn't deep enough for anything useful, not that the fairing pocket is any improvement.

And it gets in the way of tank bags. I prefer the clean look of the 2010/11 version without any ugly plastic wart, thank you very much.

I wish someone would do a carbon fiber piece. It would be better than the cheap plastic stuff Kawasaki crafted the thing from... If it was really a bit deeper and better made I think it would be a great idea. I have the 09 and really hated the look of the center box. Mostly it's cheap looking but I love the usefulness of the piece, so as I don't do tank bags I like the thing... I have considered doing a custom box myself. I would do it from Cocobola wood which polishes like rosewood. My idea was strips of Ebony about 1/8" wide in between 1" wide cocobola wood, something feeling like it came off a wooden speed boat. It would have to have a nice mechanism for hinge... I would buy a carbon fiber unit if someone could do it...

I think the carbon fiber piece with a cool engine turned aluminum section would be really cool... maybe with an temp gauge and plug for accessories and IPod. It could be way better...

Ok now someone do it and offer it for sale.

I've spent the last 8 years working with a Browns fan. She has PST. Permanently Sucky Team.

She's always cautiously optimistic in August with the pre-season games, then gets progressively more morose and depressed as the season goes on. By December, she'd be fine with the entire NFL disappearing into a black hole. And she's an actual fan who knows the game and follows the sports talk shows (former cheerleader).

Yayaya... Your Packers were in quite a drought themselves in the 70's and 80's... We'll be back in the hunt someday, I hate having the Ravens and Steelers in my division though, makes it tough to even make the play-offs...  :banghead:
