Hello from Texas
« on: March 29, 2017, 07:51:59 PM »
I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been riding Harley's for my entire riding life and I finally decided to move on to something different. I recently bought a left over 2016 Black C14 and so far I am really enjoying it.

I have been using the forum to research the C14 and now that I own one I'm finally joining and I look forward to being a part of this community.

I've attached a picture of my Road King I traded for the C14. :)

Welcome to the site! A few mods to the Connie and it will fit perfect. You just need to find what works for you.

And here I am going the opposite way and just got an Indian Roadmaster.   Keeping the C14 for now.  Welcome!

You rode off on the better bike, no doubt. 8)  Have you twisted the grip and hung on above 8,000 RPM? Yeah boy!

I live in San Antonio but I was born and raised in Ohio.

It's definitely different going from Harley's to a C14, but so far I really like it. I still have a Harley V Rod Muscle in the garage which is also a really fun bike to ride. I have been slowly opening up the C14 little by little since we're still getting to know each other.

BTW, I named the bike "Haring Araw" which is Tagalog (Filipino. My wife is full blooded Filipina) for Sun King, which is also slang for a happy new beginning.

So far I've added AST pullback risers, AST rack and backrest, and a Givi V56 to the bike. Future plans include a slip on muffler, possibly a Kawi touring seat, and if it ever bothers me enough some sort of cruise control (which is the only thing the Road King had that the Concours doesn't).

I'm not far from you in Dripping Springs. I bought my Ducati at Ducati San Antonio. About 1:30 from my house. Are you coming up for MotoGP April 23?

Welcome to the forum.  I'm also new here.  I used to live about 100 miles north of you on hwy 281.  I'm sure you know of Burnet, TX.
