I liked you idea on mounting the Go Pro on the end of the handle bar.
It'll be interesting to see what you come up with using a 3D printer.

3-axis camera gimbal for GoPro (assembly and servo test)

Not really that one was made for quad copters.
I believe you can buy it from the link gPink put up.
It is a good example of how ideas and getting them made is rapidly changing.
