Well looks official now. Have to pull the battery and put her away for the season. Was able to help my brother pick up his new bike today and go for a short ride before we loaded it into his truck.
Winter is arriving as I type this. - teens Celsius next few days.
Already waiting for a Chinook.

You need a helicopter to get it out of the truck?

It would have to be a rather largish fish indeed.

Back on track...

I'm going for a ride to check out the brakes.  If I don't come back you'll know the test was unsuccessful. :'(

I'm ok, thanks for the concern.  The brakes I'm not so sure of....still have the judder so it wasn't the bearings.  Although, they probably needed doing at 61k miles.  I decided to do some hard stops from about 60-70mph to about 30.  Did that about 10 times or so and they seem a bit better.  Next I'll be removing a rotor ( I have spares) and see which one is the culprit.  I'm thinking that I have some thicker deposits on one.  I have the EBC rotors and pads..  I've had the judder since day 1 of using them.  I reported it to EBC but they said it needed some more brake in (pun intended).

Today I put 350 miles on mine. Weather here was perfect! I also came real close to testing this speed limit switch that I have read about, that is on these bikes. Tomorrow morning is a quick wash job and going for another ride :)

Cool and wet here all day.  I did crank it and mess with it for a while, in the garage.  Our week is gonna be cool and/or raining.  Guess I'll see tomorrow.

It's with great sadness that I prepare my bike for it's winter nap.

Pulled all the plastic off.
Tightened up the exhaust header nuts.
Drained and refilled the coolant.
Flushed and refilled the brakes and clutch.
Changed the oils, front and rear.
Pulled and reinstalled the battery after cleaning all the connections.
Serviced the K&N air filter. (it didn't really need it but while I had access to it I did it)
