This is kinda sorta what it would sound like but without the pressure wave...  The one in the picture is an early model B.  It does not have the 4 jet engines.  That started with the Ds.

Sorry to burst anyone's holiday bubble, but that photo has been photo shopped (but yeah, I like it alot).
Everyone knows that cold fusion doesn't need jet fuel.

The important part of the story is that if we keep our chimneys too clean there won't be enough raw material (carbon) for the magic sack (E.B.!) to make the toys. Feel free to use that as an excuse to once again ignore that nagging feeling that maybe you should hire one of those expensive chimney sweeps to clean your chimney. Just let Santa do it and thus do your part (by doing nothing ) to keep the Christmas magic alive. (but just to be safe better get one of these :) )

Apologies for the chimney talk in an aircraft thread.

Say it aint so! I was wondering why the fuel probe wasn't going into the reindeer's mouth delivering feed corn.

FM, I thought you were going to show how the original flight picture is shown refueling from left to right because of the Coriolis Effect.

Charlie and others, if you are linking to Youtube, once you paste in the site, erase the 's' after 'http'.  For some reason, our site hates that 's' and won't 'show' the vid on the post unless you click on the link.

;D

Well yes, I would have if it were not for the cold fusion jet packs mentioned in the scientific document. However those not withstanding, the photo's depicted direction of travel appears correct for north of the equator Coriolis Effect. Yes? Of course I assumed it to be just before sunset Christmas eve, if on the other hand that is refueling on Christmas morning at sunrise and Santa is headed back home after a long night's work....well that changes everything. ...ahhh.. but then there are those cold fusion jet packs...so I guess that makes it moot.  :-\
Maybe we should table this until the photo resurfaces next year.  :-X
