Title: Fork springs

I have a 86 with none stock fork springs. I have no idea what make they are.all I no is they are tightly wound.and are not stock springs.my questions is what should I set the oil level to..cheers chaps.

With front end compressed, springs removed, set the oil level at 6 1/2".
That is not how it shown to do it in the 86 manual.
But it works perfectly..
