Quick Mountain Run
« on: May 05, 2016, 12:45:14 PM »
Did a quick run up Rt 7 from Lyons Co to Peak to Peak and back.

Not too bad. Kept it slow to get a feel for the bike.

It is a little more top heavy than the 'busa (which is to be expected of course). I was able to throw her around a bit going up with a couple of nice sweepers towards the top and good corners on the way back.

The seat is a bit rough. I had to get up before I could get off the seat, no sliding. I have a Corbin on the 'busa and I'm able to slide left and right no problem.

It's also a bit bouncy. I about got bucked off a couple of times moving from one side of the seat to the other.

The tires seemed okay for my riding style. 60 to 70 in the 30mph corners which is where I generally ride. I had one "talk to myself" moment due to a half road patch and getting the tires up out of the groove, "easy does it, left! Left!" :)

Have to get used to it and make a few adjustments.

I LOVE that route. That was one of our Saturday morning breakfast rides. Glad to hear it is snow free after last weekend.

There's a bit in the shade of the bushes but it's basically a nice ride. Lots of patches though so you can't really push except in a few places. Got my chicken strips down to 3/8" :D
