Shift Lever Rubber?
« on: July 25, 2011, 05:47:25 PM »
I have a 1987 C10 and ordered the rubber boot that slips on the shift lever and they told me it was no longer available. They show one for the 2006 C10 but it is a different number and looks a little different in the picture. Does anyone know if it will fit or if not where to get one?
Thanks

While you are looking for one, a piece of fuel/heater hose works pretty good, soak it in windex to help push it on.  Good Luck
Yep, still riding the old one

I would think the '06 would fit fine on an '87. I like Leo's idea though.

FYI the shift lever rubber for a 2006 fit perfectly. It had a different number as did the 2006 shift lever but it was perfect down to the little nub inside the boot that fits into the slot on the bottom of the shifter.
