2012 ZX14R SE
« on: January 12, 2012, 12:19:43 PM »
My local shop just got one of the new ZX14R "SE's" (special edition) in yesterday and called me, I just went an looked at it this morning, here's a couple pics I took.

First off, WOW! The glitter green is really nice IMO, lot's a flake is an understatement, more like diamonds...  8)

Other differences on the SE is the gage surround is also body matched green, standard version 12 is black.

The wheels are polished lips with black centers.

Very nice looking bike but my personal opion is I like the solid black standard wheel better then the polished look. I don't really care for the flames, a little too flashy IMO, the ones on the lowers appear to be on the outside of the clearcoat so could be easily removed, the other ones are under the clear so not really an option to remove. I do like the gage surround done in green, looks very nice when sitting on it.

All in all pretty sick bike!  8)

I saw a green SE today and it is beautiful I am a sucker for the green anyway. I did price it out, and I want one.  I would love to see it without flames or monster decals.  Not that it has monster decals but I'm sure it will get them if flames ever go away.

Speaking of logos, how bad woudl us older people look if the original z1 900 was sponsored by AIDS candy?

Big pipes save lives don't they?  I like them.  I wonder if they'll work on a C14?

Watch the sale sites and the zx forums as this bike picks up in sales this year. Do we know if they left the cats in the header?

OMG!!!  You posted that on Friday the thirteenth!!!

That was a superstition long before the Z1 was even thought about...I don't know how it came about...but I heard it from the old timers as soon as I got my 1970 G31M...more commonly known as the "Baby Green Streak"...

I really do like this one, though...
