Buddy bought a new (to him) Kawi today
« on: February 20, 2013, 08:20:25 PM »
Helped my buddy who hasn't ridden on the street pick out a new bike today.  2006 Z750S with 14,000 miles and a LeoVince pipe.  I worked the seller over because of a valve cover gasket leak, sticky clutch lever, no service history, and bald tires. So the asking price went from from $3500 to $2500 within about 10 minutes of my test ride.  The bike runs great but needs a little work and I will be the one to scrub in the new PR2's for my buddy.   ;D

Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

The crazy thing is that he almost bought another Z750S in STL that needed no work for $4000 (top end of his budget) but they didn't want to budge on the price.  Now he can put $400-$500 into this one and have another $1000 for gear.
