What's it worth?
« on: July 20, 2019, 07:58:10 PM »
I believe that I may need to sell my C14. It's a 2008 with 75K miles in relatively good condition.
V-stream windshield
Horizon ST bars
Heated grips
Sergeant World seat
Highway pegs
Full Muzzy exhaust
Power Commander
Lowered passenger pegs
Givi trunk on aluminum rack
Good PR 4 GT tires
New battery
Cox radiator guard
Power outlets for heated clothes

The real question is: what is a reasonable asking price? I don't want to give it away but I also don't want to ask a crazy price. I was thinking in the $$4500 range.

Thanks in advance for your honest replies.

Did that make you change your mind?  ???

Might be on the high side. Could put it back to stock and make some money on the after market parts. Going to replace it?

Blue book average asking price is $5,315 (stock).  It is going to vary considerably based on where you are, and the condition.  Most farkles don't add much value, some reduce value.  Ultimately, it is worth what someone will pay :)

$4500 seems reasonable to me for a 2008 (1gen and no ABS, typical mileage).  Muffler replacement = $0.  But a full exhaust system, like yours, is attractive and I think would add several hundred. To me, flies removed and power commander would reduce the value significantly (removing the added $ of the exhaust).  So, back to $4500- $5000ish.
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

I'm not willing to put forth the effort to change anything on the bike. A have extra parts that I might be talked into including with the bike or I may sell them outright. Anybody need a never installed tank? 8)
