What'd you do for your Connie today?
« on: May 11, 2011, 01:00:54 PM »
Um... First Post, noobs!!!

I pulled the cams from my parts bike to send to SiSF for the Torque regrind.  I also pulled my spare carb bowls for SiSF's overflow tube treatment.  Then I did the "original-original" two minute mod by stuffing an old dish sponge in the right side of the air intakes on the airbox, covering 2/3 of the right side.

The bike is less "bucky" and smoother on decelleration/roll-offs.  I'm also getting the 2MM rejetting kit from SiSF, so I should have a "forum-compliant" C-10 pretty soon.

Ahhh!  This is the C-14 forum!  Ahhh! :o

Flashed the Trim values from the Auto-Tune on the pesky fuel-injection system after my last 800 mile plus ride.  ;)
Sure beats pulling carbs.I do still have a ZED to tinker with though.  8)

Just added HVMP extra-heavy bar end weights.  A 55W HID kit is also on it's way in the mail.  I just found myself searching for a Mean Streak wheel for some reason too..........
02 Conc- Corbin seat, Cee Baileys shield, MCL fork brace, 4 pot calipers w/zrxmopar's adapters, 310mm rotors, SS brake lines, 1.1 Sonic springs, C14 rear shock, TCro's stick coils, SiSF's economy jet kit, front tip-over bars w/hwy pegs, KB bar risers, fender extender, block off plates, HVMP bar end weights, grip heaters, Murphs fuse block, 55W HID upgrade, relo'd coolant bottle & helmet locks

This is what I did last night ...... getting ready to restore and repaint it Kawasaki green.  Plus a whole lot of mods.  Give me a few weeks (months) and it will be done.  More pictures to follow.  I'll start a new thread.

Are you doing the prep and painting yourself?

Nothing today, but yesterday I put the Corbin on and installed the bar risers Ive had in the box since I bought it.  Really should have put those on sooner!
Tomorrow Im going to check the engine mounting bolts and possibly install the highway pegs the PO also removed but included when I bought the bike...
Say what?

I can't wait to see a Kawi Green Connie!  Is this the first?  I don't think I've seen any on http://www.pbase.com/elvin315/the_kawasaki_concours.
