I would like to buy a pair of the C14 original straight valve stems. I have a set somewhere, but
I haven't been able to find them.
I would pay $25 for a pair shipped to the Paducah, KY area.
Thanks,
Ray Nicholls

Why? Just curious.
-
Replacing the sensors?
-
Wouldn't the valve stems come with the new sensors?
-
I guess I should ask 'Removing sensor?' The stems list for :yikes: $50 each!

If only there was another section of this website, separate from the for sale section, where one could post items that they wanted to buy... ;)

Merry Christmas, Conrad! You get your wish!
Hey Conrad if you'd known it would be that easy, what would you have wished for instead?
-
Too late now. Only one forum member in 25 years gets a wish. His was it. Everyone else will have to wait another 25.
-
I believe the stems changed for later year C-14s. What year is yours?
-
On the '14 it's integrated into the sensor. Same part number up to 2013 from 2008.
-
So it's the 90 degree stems that have to be different but the OEM's will work on all years?

I have a Zumo 590 and Garmin air pressure sensors on my Goldwing. I would like to replace the right angle valve stems with straight valve stems
which would place the Garmin pressure sensing valve stem caps in the center of the wheel. They weigh a little more than plain valve stem caps and
I'd like them in the center of the wheel.
I hadn't noticed this Wanted section before.

The 90 degree stems from Murph will work on the older style sensors. The OEM detachable straight stems will work on all stock sensors through 2013. HOWEVER, if they've been changed out to the newer sensors (all years model of bike), they won't and neither will the 90 degree stems.
Did that answer your question?
-
Right. Because the newer sensors have the stem integral with the sensor. The older are detachable. Takes me a while...
Rayn - I looked and mine have disappeared. Why don't you trade your 90 degree for a set of straight? Someone would do that for sure.
-
Excuse me for being slow here but why not go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of valve stems of the appropriate diameter and length?
