My turn on the floor...
« on: August 09, 2012, 10:50:13 PM »
Recent Canyon Cage install meant I only really damaged my pride...

Yellowstone park, decided I wanted to turn around in the paved shoulder. I'd like to think that my foot slipped on a piece of gravel, but I really don't remember it as anything more than the bike getting away from me with the bars at full right lock, no speed (especially as she started to go down in slow motion).

Damage (few tiny chips) on the front cage:

Damage (few tiny chips) on the rear cage:

Running the Rivco pegs for the long ride (which I may report elsewhere), and no damage taken as the right peg rotated under the weight of the bike. In this pic, you can kinda see the mount rotated towards the lower tupperware (normally parallel to the cage itself), but missing it by about half inch:

Haven't removed the peg yet to see how the powdercoat fared.

Would have taken more pics, but a nice guy in a pickup did a u-turn to help me get her back on the rubber (I was alone on the road when it happened). No other contact points found besides the ones shown above.

Knew I'd drop a bike eventually. Glad I had the MCE bars on when I did.

Yep, the white looks great! I'm very glad to see that the CCs did their job.
