dropped my 08 in the middle of traffic in downtown cherokee, nc right up from the harrah's casino. broke my wrist and had to ride 200 miles home and got a cast the next day. thank goodness for clutchless shifting. maybe should have stayed and gambled awhile!!!

An answer to my question in the ride thread. So how did dropping the bike break your wrist?

Why is it so hard for us to just let go?

I got rear ended earlier this year on my Versys. Low speed but enough to throw me off the bike since they popped me right int he rear tire. Bike popped a wheelie I held on to the grips, managed to land on my feet on the left side of the bike. The bike started to slowly go down and I was still holding on. Tore my rotator cuff. Next time I'm letting it drop.
Best part was the guy stopped behind me, Im all over my mirrors at red lights. I was like "whew he stopped" then he said I disappeared and tried to run me over to beat some traffic....
just let the thing fall over
