Brake rotor commonality between Kawasaki models
« on: March 31, 2021, 01:18:12 PM »
I plan to order rotors for my 1986 soon, like tomorrow, and want to know which models/years are the same size.  Based on info from browsing around the early ZG/GTR fronts cross with the early 600R, maybe the ZLs too, maybe even the GPZ900 and single piston caliper 1000.  All years ZG/GTR1000 rears interchange.  Am I correct?  Thanks

Front rotors for ZL1000 arrived, they're the same size as rear on ZG!  280 mm.  Spec for ZG is 270 mm.  I hope there's room inside the caliper.  My front end is disassembled so can't confirm by trial fitting.

Are the new rotors bigger than the original?

I have the original calipers.
I hate to return these as the order was my fault.

You mean rotors?  Yes.
