Front brake switch/wiring
« on: June 13, 2017, 05:48:53 AM »
Greetings all,

Looking for help.. 1996 connie in excellent condition, bike garaged for almost 2 years and started ocasionally to keep carbs free. Front brake lever will not light up brake light (rear brake does)
Disconnected the switch and put  WD40 in there however this does not seem to be the problem as I shorted together the two wires going into the switch to verify and this does not light up the brake light...Im thinking a connection or maybe the junction box acting up.. any other suggestions on what else to check

Thanks,

It's not a junction box problem.

The wiring for the front brake switch (and the stop and starter button) go through a connector, maybe corroded connector contact?
