Anybody here use a Mojolever to change tires?
« on: April 08, 2013, 10:23:16 AM »
I got one coming in the mail this week along with the protective Mojo blocks for the HF tire changer, looks like a BIG improvement over the supplied Harbor Freight units. Got all the manuals downloaded and watched the video, its what I already do anyhow. Anybody else here use one, I did a search and it looks like a few do. Comments.

looks similar to the No-Mar mount/dismount bar that I use. And if so it is a snap to use as long as the wheel is held firmly. Takes about 10 seconds for each bead to dismount. Spray on some lube, put the nylon end between the wheel and the tire bead, pry up and swing it around. Mounting takes a little more but still once you get the knack it is about a 1 min to put the tire back on.

I have the Mojo and the NoMar, use the Mojo probably 90% of the time.  Dismount is the same for either, Mojo is a little longer.  The mounting is a little easier due to the way the end of the Mojo is manufactured in *most* applications IMO.

Well that's good news! I've had a Mojo and blocks for a while now, just looking for a spot to mount the machine.

Thanks, just looks so much easier than the HF POS lever. No scuffs too!

What HF tire changer are you using? Is the mc adapter for it still available?

HF dropped both the tire machine and the motorcycle adapter about two years ago. They brought the tire machine back late last year, but still haven't brought back the MC adapter. I found a used one on Craig's list for pretty much what used to be HF's full price...

I have the mojo lever and blocks. Radial tires are a snap, some bias, like the pilot gt's, not so much. Steve
