Turn Signal Relay
« on: March 14, 2019, 08:42:51 AM »
is there a replacement turn signal relay which will work with aftermarket LED lights?  I only have the front signals hooked up, but I'm thinking perhaps they are not drawing enough power to cause the relay to engage.  do you think I'm on the right track in my thinking???

There is an in-line resistor you must install to get the proper blink rate. 8)

You just need an electronic turn relay. Oddly most manufacturers use and load timed relay based on current draw, it's cheep and this is the only reason I can see for using one other than the increased blink rate when a bulb fails so you will know to check your bulbs.
Electronic controlled relays use an actual timed circuit and is not load dependent and only cost a few bucks... ;D
