ought to keep ya till the weee hours of the morn...

bought this album, as an import, for big $ back in the 70's.. had to special order it..

but, it is a collectible now.

live, after the album was produced..

YES 1977 and 1978... saw them many times, i think the first was at Akron Rubber bowl, maybe 6 years before this concert, it was awesome also... close to the edge tour..
the Eagles opened for Yes... One song, "peaceful easy feeling" , and off... but I think they played more than that.., they were jammin imagine that.. wow

week prior was J Geils, and Alice Cooper... man we saw good schtuff 2 weeks before that was Humble Pie and Black Sabbath...

week before that was Stevie Wonder... and.... The Rolling Stones... oh yeah, there was a big meeeleee onstage, and a mini riot, but man... it wasn't Altamont...
saw 'em (Yes) at the community college like 5 miles from my house, also that year.. like 4,000 people small hall.. in the gymnasium...seriously....with some country band opening for them.. omg

and also at Kent State, again in a Gym...
man, 1972 was an awesome year for concerts...

saw Yes twice in Cleveland and once in Akron in '71

anyway
Yes Coliseum show ( also the year before, same venue) was explosive, major stage production, sorry they didn't have vid back then...
drove down, got stoned, and watched this concert, while it was being recorded on my home 8 track recorder set on a timer...
man, never thought I'd find it on the utube... now I have 2 versions, one I recorded,( I think it was better than this one soundwise... much better highs) and one someone else did... WMMS the home of the Buzzard.. bwaaaa haaaa ( google that one)  but if you do, pay no attention to the demise of the station, Cleveland is still the HOME OF ROCK AND ROLL

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WMMS

http://youtu.be/65adMNJW1oE

in my opinion, this is one of the best long recordings of this band.
but I might be crazy, i think the first half has poor sound quality, but the second half seemed to have someone trim the e/q board a bit, and its better..

Wow! She is amazing. Reminds me of Eric Johnson. What ever happened to him?

...another Friday night later.  It's a weekly ritual now that ski season is over.   Get a beverage, relax, and crank up the old Klipschs.

I love music and have a substantial collection of CDs and some Vynil (I don't download) I stopped counting how many CDs years ago.......(about 700+)

I can listen to Andrea Bocelli who we have seen live and who brought tears to our eyes and I also like to listen to Coldplay who we have also seen live, and generally anything in between

My basic music taste is probably Rock but anything goes, apart that is for Jazz, sorry if you are a Jazz aficionado

Anything from the 60s  including the Beatles and the Stones , plus I love this band they make me smile, you may hate it  ::)
