Ride to Honor Chris Kyle in Texas tomorrow
« on: February 11, 2013, 04:28:32 PM »
For those members that live in Texas. The Patriot Guard will be riding in support and respect for Chris Kyle tomorrow. Please join us if you can. Here is the information:

The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family to stand and honor Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle for interment services on Tuesday (Feb 12) at Texas State Cemetery in Austin between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.  CPO Kyle retired from the Navy in 2009, after serving 5 tours in Iraq with SEAL Team 3.  He received numerous awards during his Naval career including 2 Silver Stars and 5 Bronze Stars.

The San Antonio area PGR will be assisting this Austin mission with a flag truck, with riders coming together from North Texas, Central Texas and South Central Texas.  Once arriving at Austin staging, we will fall under the lead of the Austin RC for this mission.  This will be a private and high security interment service, as such, please do not bring any weapons of any kind to Texas State Cemetery.  Due to the number of riders expected, there will not be water provided on site, so please bring your own water and possibly a snack since the timeline for this interment mission is open, depending on arrival of CPO Kyle from North Texas.  If available, please try to attend to honor one of our Veterans and help support the family during their time of loss.  Thank you.

Please note that there will be no LEO escort from New Braunfels to Austin

A unique, one of a kind true American Patriot. It was heart warming to see so many folks out to support this brave American and his family in Austin today, all along Interstate 35and in Dallas yesterday. The family in their grief even took time to wave to us in the flag line at the cemetery. What strength of character...
