Title: Tebow?
Post by: ZG on January 08, 2012, 09:47:06 PM
So what do ya think, Tebow to the Superbowl? The kid seems to always some how find a way, I think all the analyst predicted that game as a blow out going the other way, he had more the 300 yards passing!

I love his passion and strength to his faith, about time we got a decent role model in sports for kids to look up to...  8)

He sure had a lot of experts eating crow after the game. It surely wasn't a boring game... Elway didn't look too exited throughout the game, but in the end I do believe he made a him into a believer.

Man, that super duper QB on the stealer (S) team sure looked, well, normal and subpar.  I could see Tebow going all the way, as a fan of anything anti Elway I have been a strong fan of anyteam playing the Broncos, Tebow changes that.  I like the freshness of T and I like his openess.  Go Broncs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on his faith he may crash, but I don't think he's going to burn ;)

You're right. I think it's going to be fun to watch this kid grow as a QB.

Pappy, seeing how I grew up in Denver, I can't agree with you on Elway. I still won't bet on the Bronco's though.

I think it would take a miracle from above to see the Broncos in the Super Bowl much less win it. That said, it sure is fun to watch. I loved seeing the Squellers get burned on the first play of over time. They have been on my hate list since the 70's. Yeah, I'm a Cowboy fan and that ain't easy to say these days.

I am normally a fan of whoever the Bronco's opponent is.  But since the Chiefs couldn't get their act together I will definitely be rooting for the Broncos.............especially when they play the patties.

I like the kid.  He has risen above adversity and ridicule and diverted the credit for success to others.  He is a breath of fresh air, and I would love to see them get beat by the Packers in the Superbowl!

The way the media goes on and on you'd think that Tebow is the only player to have faith in God!

Well he certainly is a polarizing person as can be seen by the responses here! Personally, I like the guy. I second the need for good role models.  As a role model, I hope he can stay strong.

You know that the Giants are going to win it all, right? They must be great to knock off Romo and the Cow-pokes like they did.  :hail: (Yes, I'm a Cowboy fan. Just wish they could find a good General Manager!!)

I like Tebow and I hope that he goes all the way just to show the pundits that he's better than they say he is. Didn't he throw for over 300 yards on something like ten completions yesterday?

I think the Tebow hate is because the media makes such a big deal of his faith.  There's lots of other players who point to the sky or thank God for their abilities and success.  Why should reaction to Tim Tebow doing the same be seen as a negative?  I don't think the Broncos are in a position to win it all but they are sure scaring the crap out of a lot of teams right now :)

Isn't Tebow a decade old workout video? I think he would have done good in the SuperBowl against anyone, but they don't have a chance to beat the Brady Bunch. GO PATS!!!!!
I want to see the Patriots crush Greenbay or the Giants. Either or will be refreshing!!!

Aw come on John (Elway)... You're just pissed because he broke on of you team records...  :rotflmao: Being a dyed in the wool Redskins fan (that lived in Denver for 15 years), I gotta admit he made the game MOST interesting!

I'd love to see Tebow and the Broncos go all the way... And kick major ass the whole way. Tell that wouldn't make for the most fun Sleeperbowl in years. Hells bells, he could actually make the game for fun than the commercials.

I caught that also...He wore John 3:16 on his face when he played here (UF). Maybe there is a little devine intervention after all, watch out Tom brady.

Living in Cleveland brings all sorts of terrible memories whenever anything relating to Denver or Bronco's are mentioned. As the Browns are never going to accomplish much more than shooting themselves in the foot for virtually the rest of my lifetime, I must look to other things to occupy my time during what many call NFL football season as really nothing interests me concerning NFL football. Now, this Tebow guy, I only know him from what I'd call a deluge of hate perpetuated by a clueless newsmedia, MY OPINION ONLY FOLKS. Guy wants to take a knee and thanks his maker for his good fortune when he makes a good play, whats wrong with that? We are pounded daily with the silly, moronic, childish, attention seeking, idiots who dance around and ensure their 15 seconds of idiocity and told this is proper, this is just guys celebrating. But a guy who takes a knee for a private moment alone off to the side, well, he's got to go, that ain't right, we can't have that.  Good luck to him.

The Major (really?) media hates and belittles anyone who has any sort of Christian faith.I am not a bible thumper but look at their comments on any public target( politics/sports/hollywood etc). Now I only go to funeral and memorial services at church, or nieces/nephews and the like for marriages..just for the record.
The cowards never criticize Muslims...I just pointing it out as Tebow is absolutely & roundly hammered by them ..even if its between the lines.(no pun)
I really don't have an agenda just" the facts ma'am."(you can't believe how long it took me to figure out how to spell that word for a women  ;D ;D)

With the edit above, I think you have clearly stated the resentment against Tim Tebow.

As for the last part, it isn't that he has brought us world peace, but seems to have found the source of peace, both inner and world.

I'm not a football fan, so I find it ridiculous that people devote so much of their live to the sport and its personalities, but Tim Tebow seems to be a pretty decent human being.

Back to the original subject:

The thing about Tebow is that he is only human.  While I appreciate what he stands for especially in the face of tremendous temptation to the contrary, the odds are that he will eventually screw up.  We ALL do.  Even Solomon, the wisest human who ever lived, didn't always do the right thing.  My problem is that whatever slip he has will be magnified 100X because he actually tries to do the right thing most of the time.  I sort of pity the guy.  Too bad we as  a society seem to never tire of tearing down heroes.

I won't matter who they have at QB if their O-Line can't block any better than that.

Hard to block when your offense is SO one dimensional.  Let Denver keep defenses honest with a semblance of a passing game they will do well
