Wow, a $100 markup from the price you paid huh?

Ummmm check their site. He's not asking for more especially since his is all leather and heated. Just saying.   ::) I paid $760.00 for my Baldwin GT seat, when it gets here I will send him my stock seat and get $200 back. If Russell works the same way... then obviously he is not getting any money back for selling his seat by itself.

I had that seat a couple months ago...sold it to someone and he bought it from that person. It's the same seat.

So let me get this straight, this Russell Day-Long Seat is on its third (+?) owner who wants to get rid of it?  ???

I have read many of the multiple seat posts on both forums and the three main issues about Russell Day-Long Seats seem to be:
1) The lateral support wings on the driver's seat necessitate sliding forward to put your boots on the ground;
2) They sit you up higher, causing that boots to have to stretch some to get on the ground;
3) They sit you farther back, making for a longer reach to the handlebars.

However, there are some riders who are OK with those "issues" and they absolutely LOVE these seats!
Case in point:  Russell Day Long Seat http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=8662.msg105216#msg105216

And for reference: "Day-Long" Touring Saddles Price List (I think the C-14 is code S-3) http://www.day-long.com/seat_prices.html

C-14JR. can price this seat wherever he wants to, but will only get what someone is willing to pay.
Is it a good deal? Whomever is about to part with $625.00 (or $?) would have to decide that.  :)

Hmm, I've seen that seat somewhere...

$625 is a decent price considering it comes with a pan. Not to mention, shipping would likely cost ~$100 to and from Russell.

So what?  If he owns it then he can attempt to sell it for any amount he chooses.  Why do you feel like you have post about it?  Very rude sir.

I agree, not my place to comment, comments deleted.

+1

How come the passenger part of the seat looks so much bigger than the rider portion.  If the seat sets you back further you would expect the opposite.

I would love to try one.  How about sending it to me on a try before I buy basis.   Where you located?  Maybe I could ride by and take a look.

Guys, let's try to keep the discussion on the Russells in general out of this board.  If you want to discuss the seats please start a new thread in the C14 Accessory Board.  Thanks.
