wow...
one of the most moving films I've seen in years...
Field of Lost Shoes  on Netflix...
completely filmed in Virginia, the Battle of New Market.
I never understood the significance of VMI, and what took place.... now I have a better understanding.
Places I have stood, and ridden, and experienced firsthand while living there.
Dona and I were in awe from the moment we moved there, and the history and places we saw were so meaningful in understanding the true brutality of war. I think every child world wide should see this, and maybe we will begin to stop re-living the mistakes of the past....
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2477218/

highly recommended film, and one I will watch again.
http://youtu.be/cQcscNUbctk

I've visited this battlefield, along with a hundred others... and a hundred more small and large cemeteries...some places gave me chills, some places gave me an insight, many downright were haunting.

I lived in bicycle distance of these 2 battlefields...
spent many hours there...

Well, less than two hours to go and 'Better Call Saul'. Still have high hopes and my expectations have come up a bit too- saw a short video and maybe, just maybe, Bob Odenkirk can be the center of a hour long show. Maybe even a good show?

We watched the pilot for Allegiance last night. Could they have ripped off The Americans a bit more? I think not.

My wife kept telling me how stupid it is. I'm going to give it one more chance before I pull the plug on it but I'm thisclose already.

NOT wrong! I happened to like Bullitt but there are lots of movies that I only liked the cars. One that comes to mind is "Demolition Man". Hated the movie but loved the 1970 Olds 442. My first car was a 66 442. Bought it in 74 for $400, blew the engine and junked it in 76. Man I was stupid.

Stumbled onto 'Unforgiven' last night and watched it almost from the beginning. Simply outstanding movie and one of my all- time favorites. Maybe my very favorite.

Gene Hackman originally refused the role of Little Bill with the reason being he just did not want to do another western. Clint Eastwood persisted and of course, Hackman finally did the role. At the Oscars the following year, when Hackman won for best supporting actor, Eastwood asked him what he thought of doing a western now. :-)

Great movie...

Will Munny: All right, I'm coming out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.
