Good afternoon from Vancouver Island....
« on: December 14, 2017, 04:31:06 PM »
Hi there Everyone.... Name is Paul.... We moved to Vancouver Island in 2012 from Scotland and absolutely love it here....
I have had a succession of bikes over the years:-
1982 - Yamaha 50 FS1SE
1998 - Honda Hornet 250 MC31
1999 - Suzuki GSX600F
2001 - Kawasaki ZZR600
2005 - Suzuki Bandit 650s
2010 - Kawasaki ZZR1100
2010 - Honda Hornet 250 MC31 (same one)
2014 - Honda CBR900RR
2015 - BMW 650 GS
2016 - Kawasaki Concours 14

So.... at this time... I am running the Concours...and the Honda Hornet 250....
Last year I rode the Connie for the best part of the year....and this coming year, I intend to use the Hornet as my daily traveller.... and just keep the Concours for the big trips.

Ive been attached to the forum for a few months now in the background.... and have scoured some of the self help threads....as one of the jobs i will need to do is the dreaded tyre pressure sensors !
But hopefully will become more active within the forum over the coming year....

I'll post up some pics of the bikes soon.....
Regards
Paul

Welcome!  If your bike is a 2016 it probably has the newer sensors which aren't amenable to having their batteries replaced.  Also, is your warranty still in effect?

Welcome Paul, from another 2016 C14 owner!
Several C14 riders (and a few other bikes too) from Canada and USA are planning a ride from June 2 through June 9.  Put this on your schedule and plan to join us.  First meeting spot is in Bellingham, WA and head east from there.  Ride continues through eastern Washington, Idaho, and Oregon before coming back north again.  You can participate in the entire ride or only sections as desired.  Nine of us went on a 4-day ride last year, and enjoyed it so much that the duration is extended for 2018.  Send me a message if you decide to join us.
Current bike 2016 C14, Gray
Previous bikes 2006 C10, 1977 KZ1000
