SOLD - Shoei Neotec - White Large $250

This is the one that I got hit by a buzzard in.  It knocked me out and I crashed.  The helmet suffered a small scratch on the faceshield and several VERY small scratches on the left rear.  I had it recertified by Shoei. I paid $584 for it and wore it about 3 weeks or so before I crashed on September 20, 2012.  It sat in a box for a while, then I shipped it off to Shoei to get them to tell me if it's ok. It is.  I bought a new one because I told my story to a website I bought it from and they gave me a $150 discount.

Bear in mind, I spent nearly $600 and basically got a "do over", so if I didn't like this helmet, I would have bought a different helmet.  I bought the exact same helmet.  I love this thing, it's the most feature laden and quietest helmet I have ever owned.

Modular with sun visor built in, flips up with a slider on the left side.

I am asking $250 for it.  If you want it shipped, include an extra $10 via Paypal

I remember reading that story.  Good thing you had friends with you and no unmovable objects between you and where you landed.  I have ducked because of birds a time or two.  Almost grabbed one by the talons as I rode under him.  Then I remembered what comes out of birds and decided to back off.  LOL!

I figured you would have kept this helmet and sold the new helmet for a higher price since it was still new.

That probably would have been the smart thing to do. Now I have my Sena on it and there's no way I am taking that thing off.  I am DONE switching that thing between helmets. An HJC to an Arai to 2 Neotecs. Not to mention my gf got a new helmet and I had to swap hers also.

Where did you read about it?

It was in one of the emails I get from the various vendors that I subscribe to.  Don't remember which one at the moment.  Could be Competition Accessories, Motorcyclegear, Motosport, among others.

Hey it worked!  Now I can buy some much needed farkles.   And the new owner got a Neotec for $260/$584 = 44% of my cost. Bird poop included, no extra charge. Hey, that's how I roll.

Looks like it will be arriving in Naples, FL next tuesday.  A white helmet in FL definitely makes sense with the sun heat down there.  Never understood a black vehicle in FL or the southwest.

I don't understand black helmets. They're hot and you lose an opportunity to be seen. The only reason that helmet is white is because they didn't offer dayglo of any kind, my previoius Arai was dayglo yellow.
