Title: New Baldwin Seat on the way.
Post by: 2010rider on May 26, 2011, 01:18:58 PM
but it won't arrive until after Memorial Day weekend (dang).  There's a Pacific NW COG ride coming up in June and I'll probably join in.  Should be a good all day test for the new seat.

Don't be surprised if it isn't instantly comfortable. I've got 2000 miles on mine now and it is still very firm and can be tough for the long hauls. I ended up buying an Airhawk 2, it arrived today and, for the first time, I rode from full to empty non-stop and was completely comfortable.

I rode 440 miles today on mine, and this was the "first and only time" that my ass has not hurt me after riding a day like that. I have the top of the line model they make, yes it is firm for a bit but will eventually form to your butt.  I have always been a big fan of Sargent seats, but Sargent and Corbin is inferior compared to Baldwin as far as I am concerned.  And a Russel saddle is just hideous, I wouldnt take one if it was given to me.

Very true. Passenger says that she feels instant comfort even on 3-4 hours ride. it s a real improvment for me too but still firm. Only 700 miles on in though.

Very nice quality piece

In this case motorcycle seats. The Baldwin looks great AND is amazingly comfy.....and I also despise the Packers. ;)
