Motorist Assist
« on: February 08, 2015, 12:37:20 PM »
On my way to work I see a vehicle stranded in the middle of the road. The tire has literally fallen off. It just fell off. O-F-F. The middle-aged female driver appeared confused. Or maybe drunk. Granted it could be a combination.

Lacking the ability to go around, I stop, kill the engine, and push the kick stand down. I fail to realize the roadway has the nice curve to it for draining rainfall. I walk about three steps away from the bike when I hear the horrifying sound of a Connie falling on its side on warm asphalt. The kickstand was on the curved portion just right that it slides up.

Thankfully my helmet was still on and it shields the other drivers from my profanity. Unfortunately the bag, fairing, and mirror have these wonderful gouges in them now. O and she wasn’t drunk, just dumb and her wheel was installed after finding the lug nuts scattered across the road.

The best part is the day before I told a coworker I haven't dropped the Concours yet comprared to my various falls on my old V-Strom.
