Howdy from a new C14 owner from Colorado
« on: October 04, 2015, 07:44:16 AM »
Hello everyone,

Just picked up a 0 mile leftover 2014.  It's my second Concours, first was a 98 1000 that got replaced with a ZX14 in 06.  Tried to turn the ZX14 into a sport tourer and did pretty well (couple of Iron Butt rides) but when the C14 came out in 08 I almost bought one to replace the ZX.  Took us a bit but we finally got one.

Looking forward to gaining a bunch of knowledge from all the experience here and making a few performance and comfort mods!

Current 2 wheel rides:
2014 Councours 14, 2003 ZRX1200r, 2001 ZRX1200r, 1994 KLR 650, 1985 Eliminator 900 (will sell in the spring)

Welcome aboard.  I'm pretty much a newbie myself, but you'll find a lot of good folks, and good information on here, and a few laughs to boot.  Enjoy your new ride and the start of your farkles!   :D

Welcome.
I came off a ZX14 as well. I ended up getting another one and kept the Connie for the long rides. It's hard to go backwards with power.
I love both of those bikes. 8)

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

I know what your talking about, I sure miss the ZX14 from a power standpoint.  She had a few performance mods and laid down some good dyno figures.

What part of CO?

and most ZX14 full exhausts will fit on the C14 with minor mods!

Colorado Springs area, recent transplant from Wyoming.  A bit crowded for me but not a bad place to hang your hat.
