I think I want to try some risers...what is a Ram Ball mount? Do I need anything else to make these work with my bike? Will my stock cables and lines work? zip is 98383 Silverdale, WA

Yes stock cables work and no you don't need anything else for these to work. A Ram Ball is a mount that bolts on to mount a GPS or radar detector and these risers have a small tab to work with a Ram Ball if you have one.

Do you have the relocation bracket to mount the front brake line on the 09 non ABS ?

These risers were Heli Bars first production run and are 1.75" tall and I do not believe these used the brake line relocation bracket that is included in the 2" tall risers they sell now. So no I have no other brackets than what is shown in the photos.

I've been thinking about it, but I always seem to have troubles when it comes to doing anything mechanical. Are they truly easy to install without any adjustments to the cables and such?

Yes, super easy. Maybe others with risers can chime in?

As long as you have a 10mm wrench, the correct size allen socket, some blue thread lock and perhaps a torque wrench or an educated hand...

Whole install should take 15 minutes.

Place a soft rag under the handle bars to prevent any scraches.

Easier than changing the oil...

Hey Crash or anyone else in Concoursland, I'm not seeing what the 10mm wrench would be used for. I know the 6 bolts are 6mm allen, but is there something else i have to loosen?

There is a threaded hole on the front of one of the risers to relocate the hydraulic line from the triple tree to the riser, 10MM head on the bolt. Easy.
Did your risers show up yet or are you still waiting? Sometimes the package can get held up at customs for a few days.

They came Friday. And thanks for the answer on the 10mm wrench! I've got some allen sockets on order so I will probably install next weekend. I may pm you if I have any problems......thanks again!

I would prefer that if there are installation issues with something that they go to the appropriate board...in this case the Accessory C14 board. This isn't the place for it. Please start a new thread there.
