After 7 years....
« on: November 23, 2019, 05:25:34 PM »
I've owned my '12 Connie since new. Today I took it for a ride to New Hampshire traveling curvy & hilly roads. She serenaded me with a wonderful howl as I bombed through two-lane passes in 4th and ran like a fine Swiss watch leaving me grinning ear to ear. She still runs like new, and I can barely feel the engine at idle. This is one incredible motorcycle!!

'Black Bear' is now 10 years old with 98,000 miles and absolutely 0 issues besides normal fluids, tires, brake pads, 1 battery and 1 headlite bulb. I'm sure this thing will go 300k with a little luck- the engine and running gear is so bulletproof and under-stressed most of the time unless I'm wringing out some mountain sweepers 8)

I absolutely beat the crap out of my '08.  If I put in less than 25K miles a year commuting then that's a good year.  I also carve up the sweetest hillsides in this county all year long.  What an awesome machine.  2 sets of tires and fluid change-outs every year have become a pleasure to perform.
