Title: Junk/broken fairing pieces
Post by: snarf on April 09, 2012, 10:27:51 AM
Ok who has broken fairing pieces laying around?  It doesn't have to be the fairing, heck it doesn't even need to be intact. I am actually looking for some pieces about the size of a dollar bill or larger.  The year?  Ummm 1986-2006....
I would just like to have small pieces around to color match my powder.
I am willing to buy or trade, but free would be even better LOL
Its a long shot, just thought I would ask ;)

Just discarded mine last week.
Match what powder? Why?

I do powdercoating, its real nice to have the actual color of the bike that you are trying to match sitting next to you.

Stash that's awesome. I will send you a pm. Would you like me to take care of the shipping?
Only 19 more years to go.

Shipping shouldn't be much at all  - so don't worry about it.

One of the best farkles I have are the highway pegs.  They're the millerized version before you came online with them.  Happy to send the sample it if it will help the cause.

I've got a chin fairing off of a 2002. It's missing a few tabs and has some scratches. Yours if you want it.

Do you need it intact or can I run it through the bandsaw. It would be easier to ship if I cut it in half. If you need it whole thats fine also.

As small as you want.  take out some of your frustration on it. All I really need is a piece roughly the size of a dollar.
Think of it as a color splotch from the paint store LOL
Thanks again...Chris

I'm about to modify the belly pan on my red '88...could send you a small piece in exchange for 3 sets of highway pegs, 6 sets of block off plates, and 4 sets of driving light mounts...

OR...

I could just send you a piece when I'm done hackin'... ;)

...pretty sure I still have your address...just watch for it!

Chris,

Didn't forget about your cosmic gray samples. No real good excuse. They are now in an envelope, will go in mail tomorrow.
