The 2002 (sold) and the 2005 (sale pending). Sort of like twins...
This street bike thing is all new to me.
Snowmobiles-I have a bunch of those.

Hi guys,
Fantastic forum; I can feel all the love for these great machines.
Just purchased a new-to-me 2004 Connie ($1500!!!!!!!!!!! Just dropped cpl times and needed new brakes all around is all) and have yet to find an owner's manual. I love the beast and named her Fenrir (after the Norse Wolf :D). I plan on doing most all my own work. Anyone know where to find a PDF(etc.) file of the manual? I'm a new rider (took the basic ridercourse). Also, if anyone can tell me what this rocker control (with grip bumps on top and bottom button face) on the left dash does, I'd appreciate it a lot!!

Someone has added that switch on. Not original. You will have to trace the wires to find were they go

Nothing I can tell so far, while in neutral or otherwise, bike on or off. Was kinda scared to push it either way, at first. Thought it was stock...maybe a hazard.   Don't wanna mess with the fairings as of yet...Former owner (who modded it) Daniel Clark of Centennial, Colorado, are you out there? D:

Having just figured out a long-standing issue with my 2001 C10, I am recently overcome with renewed joy for my Connie.  This is mine, recently refreshed with brand new tires, straight-rate front springs, and a Progressive rear shock.

Sweet looking bike, how do you find the delkeviks..

They came with the bike when I bought it, so I don't have much in the way of comparison to stock exhaust components.  They are just a hair louder than I'd like sometimes, but they do give the bike a decent old-school superbike growl.  Connie sounds meaner than my old 900 Ninja did, and it really gets pretty good above 6,000 RPM.

I've considered changing them out for something just a bit quieter, if only because I like to ride late at night, and I'm sure my neighbors don't appreciate it much, but it hasn't bothered me enough to swap them out just yet.  The build quality seems high, they aren't tarnished or rusting, and they haven't caused me any issues!

In terms of power or torque, I imagine any changes are largely negligible.  Even if there were to be some additional output on the top-end, you probably won't ever be able to tell on a 600+ pound bike like Connie.  If you want a little more noise so's people know you're coming, they're a good fit!

The seat bag is a Saddleman Sport Wide Tunnel bag. I got it from Dennis Kirk. It is a nice bag and you can adjust were on the seat you put it so you can lean on it. It comes off with 3 quick release cam buckles and the harness stays on the seat. They don't work on a C-14 because the saddlebags are too close to the top of the seat.
