Pics of you and your bike in action
« on: April 13, 2012, 11:03:13 PM »
I think there was a thread like this before the great forum crash of 2011 but I haven't seen one here yet.  I will go ahead and start with a couple from my trip to the dragon last fall.

I love a good "upskirt shot"   ;D

I ended up tickling more than the peg.

I have since learned alot more about how much body positioning can affect ground clearance.  I rarely even touch a peg anymore.

Yeah,  your getting real close to catching some asphalt and washing.  If you get your body inside, the bike doesn't need to lean as far.   ;)

Good one Chet, I love it!  ZG's bike is always ready for a photo op.  It is so much easier since it rarely leaves the garage or driveway.   ;D

I knew you were up to something Chet when you pulled all those cleaning supplies out of "your" side bag and headed over towards my bike yesterday bro! :battle:

Did you plan this the night before or do you always carry around all those cleaning supplies??  :o

I too had to learn about body positioning: alright, I really knew about it, but was hamming it up for the camera.

My learning curve is finding the same fairing scratches. My first bike was a dessed out 77 XS750 that was nice to ride but did not lean all that much. Now my ZG1000 does love to lean and I love corners, bad mix at times. Now I have come to understand that just because the bike will lean as far as you push it it is not the best thing to do.

Here's a shot of me when I was taking the MSF ARC, which one of the RiderCoaches took and the Ride Arizona training folks are now using on their website (linked to picture):

And here's another one with my wife on the back on the Ouray side of Red Mountain Pass on the Million Dollar Highway in SW Colorado:

(Note that I can't hang off the side as much with the rear-seat mounted speed limiter installed  ;D )
