Heated Gear Wire Pass Through for 1 Piece Suit??

I have an old Spartan 1 piece riding suit.  It looks like the same thing is now sold under the Firstgear brand name.  Does anyone have a recommendation on how to create a port for a heated gear wire?  The suit has been quite water tight and it would be nice to keep it as water tight as possible.  I thought of going to a tailor and requesting some kind of flap/ port near the waist band but that does not sound very water tight.  There is a pocket in the thigh area that could also be a place for a port.  It seems like this would be a common snowmobile problem and someone should sell some kind of DIY iron on port.  Thanks.
