Bernd Neuman (Germany) will arrive at the Denver airport on 29-
June JULY @ approx 5:00 PM. I'll transport him 'up the hill' to my place for the night.
The next day, Saturday, any/all riders are welcomed to come up and wake his sorry arse up ;) I'll have a light breakfast ready for all. Let's say 8:30-??? AM
A local rider (TBD), or riders, will guide Bernd on a few of the roads around here (RMNP? P2P?) then back to Casa Hall for the welcome party. Let's say about 5:00 PM until ??.
I'll burn some stuff on the grill, have a couple of salads, etc. Please bring a drink of your choice, maybe two, maybe three ;) Any/all riders are welcome to attend. And do bring some cash, we'll be taking up a collection to be given to Bernd to help with expenses on his ride to the COG National in Vermont.
Sunday AM, Bernd will depart Colorado to meet up with his fellow OtP traveller, Gie, at Chris Baums place in Lincoln Nebraska.
Please RSVP. A post in this topic is adequate.

Sounds like a great time Rick, I wish I could make it... gonna have the 'rents in town that weekend... :(

OK, Bernd's loaner bike is all prepped. Washed waxed, fresh tune-up, oil/filter, fluids checked, new rear tire (front is still good for 8k), air freshener rotated...
Fridge is stocked with 6-8 types of local brews, a few more in reserve in the cellar. The other liquid cabinet is 'adequate' ::)
Charcoal grills, check. Briquettes, check. Starter fluid, check. Patio (Daddy-o) chairs, umm...
To-do. Dump seven old tires off at recycle. Get 'nuther rack of ribs. See if salmon filets are on sale. Cheese from the cheese store (cheeseimporters.com), sausages if price is reasonable, hard rolls from 'da sto too. Check "Gram's Cabin" for unwanted visitors (bears, mice, ...) kick them out if possible. Bernd, Phil, and Harry will appreciate it.
Gittin close!

Oh man I'd love to go but I've been gone too much this summer and need to stay home a weekend with my wife.

If any of you have the chance to try Rick's Sourdough Pancakes, don't miss it. My riding buddy Jim and I had the chance last month, the best breakfast I've ever had, those pancakes are amazing.

I've been out there for a Tag a year or so back... Nostalgic West Leather. Nice ride around the canyon up the road a bit... did some nice riding around the area before moving the Tag.

Pass. If we wanted to Pub Crawl to Lincoln I'd get some ;)
Burned some ribs on the grill tonight, "Crocker", Phil, Steve Cook, yers truly, and Bernd in attendance. Stavee stopped by earlier, the rest of the 'usual suspects' had prior commitments.
Several Singletrack's consumed, couple of 90 Shilling, and a new one (to me anyway) Blue Paddle Pilsner Lager from New Belgium Brewing. I though it was pretty good, it's now on my short list.
We gave Bernd the kitty jar after dinner, who though it was a collection for the food and stuff, so he tossed in a couple of greenbacks ;) Quite a few bills in the jar... more than $50, less than $200.
Phil, Steve, and Brad left a few minutes ago, I dried the last dish (manual dishwasher @ Casa Hall), Bernd and I are catching up on emails, blogs, and postings. And another beer... or two ;)
The two of us are planning to leave for Chris Baum's place in Lincoln early tomorrow, should arrive there at a reasonable hour to meet up with Gie.

Rick,
Awesome time! Thanks for the hospitality! Bernd, I hope you had as good a time as I did!
P2P report: One Bambi sighting...speed: 45 mph...range: 3 feet...pretty sure I scared him as much as he did me!
Ride safe on the trip...
Thanks again!

Sorry I missed the early AM coffee... work provided it, unfortunately. Have a great trip and travels, Bernd!
