Man Down, Bike Done!
« on: October 20, 2012, 11:21:17 PM »
Riding after local football game last Saturday, Buick sedan pulled out directly in my path. No escape, braked hard and bailed left. Woke up lying up against said Buick, didn't know Connie's fate till later!
Bottom line bruises, 2 broken ribs high up at sternum and written off 08 Connie.
Glad to be alive :)  , sad about my ride :'(

Thanks guys.   Driver was a young guy, not his car, owner: a young guy, was a passenger.  They were also coming from game, hope too many wobbly pops were not involved but don't know the details of the investigation yet.
We have "No Fault' public insurance here so the process can be lengthy and sometimes frustrating !
I will probably end up negotiating a settlement on the write off value.
Once that is settled i can make a decision about a new ride.
Winter here now so no rush.  I have a neglected 02 Mean Streak in my garage as a fallback . It seemed to appreciate the new found attention!
Feeling about 90% of normal already so recovery is amazing.
Life marches on   :)
