whoa... Teressa to get her motorcycle endorsement
« on: January 08, 2013, 06:30:07 PM »
I gave Teressa the MSF course for a valentines day gift.  If she passes this weekend she will have her FL motorcycle endorsement. And I will warn the masses  ;D

Perhaps then she'll ride in the front and me on the back

hmmm me either.  However, she trusted me on the Road Atlanta Race track!  I went so fast on the back straight not thinking about her sitting high on the back (as I was tucked in) that the front wheel lifted off the tarmac!

She is tiny as a mouse and her feet wouldn't hit the ground on the C14, I'll have to let her ride a low bike  :D

You guys are funny, actually i let her ride the baby ZX9 monster a few weeks ago, at least practice letting out the clutch in 1st gear on the sidewalk several times.  she could launch it no prob too.

tomorrow she attends the MSF

My wife thought about attending the class, but she didn't want to spend the money.  She'll ride the little honda dual sport around the property.  I think I would be to stressed riding on the street with her on her own bike.  I would feel like I would have to keep us both safe while riding.

I understand completely - and my usual sarcastic forum responses are:

I got Teressa's class as a valentines day present she wanted.

And I'll be stressed too, I don't want her to do it.  But telling her not too would be like someone telling me not to.  Wait, my mom tried that, it didn't work

How much do these classes cost in other states? Here in my area it's $25 and $5 of that is refundable at the end of the class. Everyone just donates the $5 though.

In Georgia it is $250.  When my wife signed up 8 years ago it was $50 and she signed up in April for the first available class in Sept, by summer GA decided not to subsidize the class and the cost went to $250 that year  >:( so she had to come up with $200 more
