True story
One of my Grandfathers back in the 1800's owned a general store ...
Back then you had to take your horse (Frank was Gramps horse) and buggy into downtown Buffalo to pick up "good's " to sell ... well Gramps was a drunk and Frank the horse new the way home ... so they would show up back home (home was above the store) with 1/2 the goods he just bought stolen! ... Well Grandma said If we can't keep you out of the bar's we just as well open one .
The good part
The bar was next to the gate of a Steel Mill so they were all ways full
It worked sooooo well they also opened a Liquor store and a dry goods store Grandma ran the dry goods store.
My mothers greatest fear was her children becoming drunks .... It didn't happen , the drunkest I ever was , 15yrs old , I hit my head many times falling on ice , I'm sure I had a concussion, stuck in bed for two days ... never been the same since
