Fred - tire pressure compensation chart???
« on: May 31, 2011, 08:20:13 PM »
Yes, I did a search but as we know that is not worth much anymore.  I'm looking for the chart Fred posted with the correction factor for how much air to put in a tire at a certain ambient temperature in order to achieve a corrected temp.

Thanks!

Slightly off topic.

Did anyone else notice that Fred H isn't a member here? He didn't make the move after the big crash. I'm a bit surprised...

I can't speak for Fred, but I'm pretty sure his obligations over at the other site will leave most of his focus there.  At one point, the board was "suggesting" that their area reps & official people not post over here.  Not sure if that edict is still in effect.

I consider that a loss to this site.

They suggested that no-one from COGdom should post over here? That's pretty damn immature isn't it? I wonder how many of Fred's DVDs were sold to non COG members?

How would you explain this?

That's unfortunate & shortsighted.... These forums are all about the bike & the sharing of knowledge & experience. You're welcome for the chart it's just one of the things i saved. ride safe, mike

I agree.   Big loss as is anyone that is part of this community of Concours owners.   Why can't we all just get along ~ Rodney King (I didn't realize at the time that he was talking about Connie owners but it all makes sense now)

No, what I read was that COG officers, officials, regional reps/AD's/AAD's, whatever were encouraged only to post on the official site.  I did not gather that any such thing was suggested for regular cog members by the board.  Several members took it upon themselves to point out that they will no longer post here.  :deadhorse:

As Fred is a/the Tech Director, I am reading between the lines on his absence here.  I have no "inside information".  I would expect that Fred will post here in the future, but only on a limited basis.  My opinion only, nothing to take too seriously.

As to the link, that is merely advertising for the other site.  It would be very surprising to me if that does not continue.  No reason it shouldn't, afaik.

As to staying on topic, thanks, mike for the chart.  It has been hanging in my garage for years, but I lost the electronic copy.
