We're a bit young to remember Willie and Joe, but WWII veterans knew them well. They're getting few and far between these days, but all of them knew them no matter what theater they were fighting in....
Bill Mauldin died in 2003 and was the creator of Willie and Joe. He kept the troops entertained. At one point General Patton wanted to shut him down but Bill had an important benefactor......General Eisenhower who outranked the famous tanker by a bit.....
