Maybe. Maybe not. I'd love to try that. The rush has got to be OFF THE HOOK!!!!

Thanks, but I'll take the opening shock of a high performance elliptical winged parachute at about 2,500 feet instead. I'm cool with a tippy-toe landing on grass.

One cannot succeed an an endeavor until one tries. It is after you try that you find out whether you succeed or fail.

Here is an interesting (hopelessly over-hyped) overview of some odd flying machines.

The Gloster Meteor was actually the only allied jet aircraft to see service during WW2.  There are at least 12 variants from the F MK.1 thru NF MK.14.  It was the very first operational jet used by the Allies and nearly 4000 were produced.  It saw service in the RAF until 1980.

At that velocity, can that even be considered a crash? Or did the pilot just become a member of ADA? (Airlander Droppers Anonymous)

Oh, the humanity!

Locally two nights ago two guys were practicing touch n goes in their flying club's Cherokee. They had engine problems and sat it down on a local highway. It was towed to the airport, nearby.

I like Canard aircraft. The Cozy Mark-IV is uber kewl, a four place 200 MPH rocket, though any canard is fine with me. Specifically the Cozy Mark-IV that just passed an Airworthiness inspection last week with *my* name on the certificate :)

Eight plus years of epoxy dribbles on my clothes and shoes, fumes, sanding dust up the ying-yang, 1100+ lbs of boxes shipped UPS/FedX 15 lbs at a time. Except for the engine ;) November One Four Zulu Golf is mine. Am sure y'all can do the math on that one :)

Congrats Rick!! Quite an accomplishment! My brother and I are working on an RV-3 project. This was a flying aircraft that had been taken apart for engine overhaul, install of new glass cockpit and paint. It's been over a year and probably another year before we're done. And that's trivial compared to building a Cozy from scratch. But....

WE WANT PICTURES!!!
