« on: November 20, 2014, 04:32:31 PM »
Just picked up a pristine 2002 Connie with 4000 miles on her. Put on a couple hundred already and loving it so far. Hope to get some good info here.

Thanks for the welcome. Current resident of Daytona Beach. Looked at getting a Concours for a long time. Owned and ridden hundreds of bikes, but this one should be a keeper. It only had 3850 miles when I bought it. That is good and bad of course, but mostly good. It is in outstanding condition, and runs very well. It has Heli-Bars, tipover bars and a rear rack installed. The only bad is there are no bags with it. I figure I can pick up a set one day and it will be complete. Pics are below.

Welcome aboard from a fellow Flowridiot.

Come and meet some of us at The Last Blast down in Melbourne. You can see what a C-10 looks like with with over 200,000 miles on it. There should be at least two of 'em there.

This is a COG event but membership is not required for virtually all events, including this one.

reposted from the COG forum:

On Saturday, December 27th, the last SECOG ride of 2014 will be hosted By Larry Buck in Titusville, FL. This event has drawn 30-40 riders every year, and is held at the Dixie Crossroads Restaurant. As this event is essentially a social affair, we encourage everyone to come early to see old friends, and to meet new riders.
Here is a link to take you to the registration page, and to get more information.
We hope to see you there.

Hope to see ya.

Hey George, found a gentleman over on "the other" forum parting out a "99. He has a set of saddlebags for $150. That's a helluva price.

Welcome!  I have found that mostly I just use the top box now.  Puts things right at arm level and serves as a backrest.  The side cases are loaded with stuff and ready to go for any trip, but seems kind of useless when just riding around the region (2-300 miles).  I do keep certain tools stashed and various places on the bike at all times.  Side cases carry mostly inclement weather gear.
