Names Mike I'm from Bolton in the UK and I haven't owned a car for nearly 15 years now. In that time I have primarily been riding ST110's & CBR110's (currently own 3 birds, long story lol)
Always fancied the GTR and having quit smoking decided it was time for a slightly newer bike to join my "fleet".
Dealers just needs to get replacement F&R TPS in and then the new rear tyre that was needed for the MOT can also be fitted.
Bike is an 08, 2 owner with 7k miles on her

flipped the side stand down and didn't notice the pothole underneath it until it was too late......................

Wow, 2 previous owners and they only put 7,000 miles on that bike in 8+ years. I have a 2016 model that has over 10,000 on it already and think I don't drive it enough. I hope you will not neglect riding this bike as previous owners have!

Oh I can pretty much guarantee it will more than have doubled by this time next year :)

In your original post your 'new' bike is a C-14 but the one in the dropped pic is not a C-14?

In your original post your 'new' bike is a C-14 but the one in the dropped pic is not a C-14?
Nope not missing anything. The new Bike is a GTR/C14 , the bike being horizontally parked is a ST1100
I was asking if the 3rd hurdle was posting a picture of your dropped GTR/C14 and as I havent done that yet I posted the next best thing :)

The one thing to keep in mind whilst dropping your bike is to protect it all costs. As it's an ST, I can certainly understand you not wanting to protect it. I had mine fall over once in the garage (forgot to put the side stand down). However I protected it with my body, thereby reducing it's damage to minimal in nature.

I had mine fall over once in the garage (forgot to put the side stand down). However I protected it with my body, thereby reducing it's damage to minimal in nature.
I have to say the tip over wings on the ST1100 are very effective. In that particualr instance all that happened is the mirror od popped out *easily popped back in) and there was some scuffing to the plastic wing cover

Didn't you also have the protective halo of Canyon Cages hovering on the shelf above you?

whilst I get the whole Canyon cages thing and they're effectiveness they look a bit Jon & Ponch to me.
Has anyone got any experience of either of these (look to be the same thing TBH). Remind me of the tipover wings on the ST and the were effectivee
